Kerala Police arrested 25 school bus drivers in the inspection conducted on Friday morning. The inspection was conducted mainly in four districts like Kottayam, Idukki, Alappuzha, and Kochi due to complaints of misconduct.

P. Vijayan, Inspector General of Police, told that the surprise inspection was based on the complaint that drunken drivers are misbehaving with the children. Hence was the inspection conducted. Also he added that there are good drivers, but 25 drivers were caught red handed in the morning.
Upendra Narayanan, a road safety expert, encouraged the efforts of the police. And he added that child safety should be given top priority and it is high time to rusticate irresponsible school bus drivers.
